Stumbling Into Grace by Lisa Harper Book Review

Stumbling Into Grace: Confessions of a Sometimes Spiritually Clumsy Woman

Isn't this the cutest book cover you have ever seen?

Stumbling Into Grace: Confessions of a Sometimes Spiritually Clumsy Woman by Lisa Harper is a compilation of personal and funny stories of how God taught Lisa about concepts of grace: forgiveness, honesty, and gratefulness (just to name a few).  She starts each chapter with a great quote and her introduction sentence, "So, today I've been thinking about..."  Her exposure of tough issues in a lighthearted manner gives substance and instant connection with the reader.  She also includes a passage of Scripture pertaining to that particular subject of the chapter.  At the end of each chapter is a personal reflection and discussion page and also thoughts on starting a journal entry.

I was so impressed with Lisa's writing style and her intimate way of including me in her ramblings.  I felt like I was talking and laughing with Lisa, but also felt that I could trust her to share my thoughts.  I think this would be a great book to use for accountability with a good friend.  She gave many ideas for applying God's grace in our lives.  I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to "stumble into grace."
