J.J. Heller is my new favorite artist. She has a soft and lovely voice that drifts quietly to the soul.  Her lyrics are full of heartfelt thoughts, prayers and experiences.  When we are at the deepest moment of need, we need to know we are LOVED.  That is what this album offers, the true and never ending love of God to humans who reach for Him.  This album is one to keep close to your CD player as you will be feel so loved and encouraged by this wonderful young couple that shares blessings from above to touch your inner spirit.

When JJ Heller and her husband/co-writer, Dave, began writing for their sixth studio album LOVED, life looked a few shades darker, more painful and confusing than it had during the work on their work of the recent past. Over the past few years, the duo steered much of their material toward the whimsical and simple joys of life, love and new parenthood. But, when confronted by illness, death and broken marriages within their community, the Hellers chose to stay true to the weight of their season of life when crafting lyrics this time around.

My Foundation Music Review from Vineyard Worship and Giveaway!

This album has a rich sound that is sure to capture the hearts of students and set them on fire for God.  The songs are relevant to the character of God and how students need to seek Him for everything.  The music is exciting and entertaining, but with a strong message that points to God.  I love that there are many different artists that perform on this album. I think it gives variety, but also sends the message that they are unified in sharing the Good News about the one true God. 

About the album:
MY FOUNDATION was recorded LIVE at the Cultivation Generation conference. The mission of this conference is to connect students with a powerful worship experience that is rooted in bringing people together for the purpose of sending them out.

Cultivation Generation was founded by Jeremiah Carlson, who is also the lead singer and songwriter of The Neverclaim which is featured on the album. Other contributors include notable Vineyard worship leaders and songwriters Anabeth Morgan, Stephen Lampert, David Linhart and Jesse Meyer.

There is Hope by Trudi Compton CD Review and Giveaway!!

"There is Hope" by Trudi Compton is her second album and is complete Christian worship music.  Trudi's heart and passion for God are evident in each of her songs which are like honest prayers to God.  She sings with joy and certainty.  Her music is soulful, deep and resonates with the desire of her love for the Lord.

I met Trudi three years ago when I was planning a surprise birthday trip for my husband to a cute little cabin in the Pacific Northwest.  Trudi was the housekeeper for the property and she offered to make a birthday basket.  It was awesome.  We exchanged several emails before actually meeting on that trip.  She is such a blessing to me and many others.  Her love for music and singing along with her talent allows her to share God's love with others.

Meet Trudi:
Trudi is a 39 year old Christian singer/songwriter from Washington State. Music has been her passion since the time she listened to the first 45's played at her parents house when she was just a young kid. Ever since then it has been her desire to write and record music as a means of sharing the love and Salvation of Christ.

Trudi currently serves on the Worship team at her church as a singer where she has served for the past 15 years. She continues to write new music and is currently working on writing songs geared towards congregational Worship.

Her first release "I Give You My Heart" was recorded in the year 2000 but it wasn't until 2010 that she recorded her follow up CD "There Is Hope". Her newest release is a blend of acoustic guitar, saxophone, and piano music....... easy to listen to with a positive message of hope that is sure to stir your heart and encourage the soul. All of the songs were written by Trudi and some were also co-written with some other great writers as well.

Trudi sings at many events such as Weddings, Church events, School Assemblies, and Memorial Services. If you are interested in having her sing at your event, she can be contacted at PLavonrep@hotmail.com.

Trudi continues to reside in a small town in Washington State where she lives with her husband of five years and their two children.

FFH "One Silent Night" CD download Review and Giveaway

FFH's One Silent Night CD is the newest release from this group that is especially made for Christmas!  I love Christmas music and I love FFH so I was excited to review this CD.  There are several old favorites and some new renditions.  But FFH has that wonderful jazzy sound with their clear and crisp voices.  They juiced up some songs like Jingle Bell Rock with a twist of funky music in the middle.  Heaven and Nature Sing whispered Joy to the World between the lines.  There are 9 songs on this album.  Some you will know and others will be new.  This is a great CD to have playing through the holidays to remind you of the reason for the season.  With upbeat songs and traditional ones, you will simply love the holidays with FFH!

Jeremy Riddle "Furious" CD Review and Giveaway!!

Jeremy Riddle is a master worship leader!  His strong voice and powerful lyrics draw the listener to a majestic place with God alone.  The music is uplifting, worshipful and absolutely will have you singing along.  He is reverent and his love for God shines clearly through every beat in this album.  Riddle describes Furious saying, “It’s hard to come up with words that depict the magnitude of Christ’s love – the depth and width of it. Furious doesn’t work outside of the context of love; we tend to translate the word as angry, but I see it as a super-powerful force; stronger, deeper, broader than our vocabulary can fully describe."

OK, Jeremy Riddle's "Furious" is my new favorite worship CD!  I had never heard of him before, but I'm going to start checking him out.  The minute I started playing this music, I felt I was in a different place.  His songs tell of our beautiful God and lead us to worship Him with every fiber of our being.  The more I listened to this album, the more I drew closer to God.  Even my son was singing the songs along with me.  They are in my head and seeping into my heart!  You will love Jeremy's new CD.

Ginny Owens "Get In, I'm Driving" CD Review and Giveaway!!

Ginny's new release "Get in I'm Driving" is a work of her heart and soul.  She lays bare some deep emotions and tells her stories with such beautiful language in "Rain" and "Joined at the Heart."  She also adds a lot of fun and sparkle in her songs "Better Off" and "Daughter of Destiny"  This project has a variety of types of music which all blend together into a complete package.  Ginny did a lot of this work herself and she wrote almost all of the songs.  Her talent is unique and exceptional.   At a young age Ginny lost her sight, but not her vision for pursuing a musical career.  She is extremely talented both vocally and artistically as she writes and plays her music on the piano.

I saw Ginny perform at a Women of Faith conference several years ago and I was drawn to her music, voice and instant repoire with the audience.  Her personal touch in each of these songs is a joy to listen to each time I pop in this CD.  I loved all of the songs on this album.  Ginny is very contemporary, but with her own perspective.  I learned more about God's love for me in "Mystery of Grace" and perseverance in "Before You Fly."  I look forward to more music from Ginny.  You will enjoy Ginny's new album so get in because she's driving!

Robert Pierre "I'm All In" CD Review/Giveaway

First of all, isn't this high school graduate, Robert Pierre, good looking?  Not only that, he has an amazing voice and sold out love for God!!!  I was privileged to be given the opportunity to review his third and latest release that is coming out on July 26!  It's called I'm All in.  Robert spent the bulk of his senior year writing and recording this album along with leading Sunday worship at his church in Orlando, FL.  This summer he is touring and sharing his message with thousands of young people.  Robert is ALL IN for God.

The minute I popped in this CD and listened to the songs I could hear Robert's heart being completely vulnerable about his love for God and things he has gone through.  Many of his songs are prayers directly to God.  He has incredible maturity for a recently graduated high school student.  He wants his listeners to know that God is right there in all the highs and lows of life.  I love the title track, "I'm All In."  Another favorite is "Maker of the Stars."  His voice and style of music is very uplifting and exactly what I like listening to as I do my chores or while driving in the car.  The lyrics (all written by Robert with the exception of one song and some in collaboration with other songwriters) have a down to earth quality and the repeated phrases are reassuring to a heart that is yearning for God.

Hannah Michelle Weeks- Musician

I had the privilege of being Hannah Michelle Weeks Kindergarten teacher. Even back then she had a natural talent for singing! I was so surprised when one day on Facebook that I found her again and she had made a CD. I was even more excited when I got to see her in concert a few summers ago.  Right now she tours, has made a video and has also worked on a movie set.  She is gorgeous and has a beautiful voice.  On her debut album (Life's a Drama) she writes 4 of the 7 songs.  She plays guitar as well.  Who knew so much talent was in such a sweet package.

Rejoice (Women of Faith) CD Review/Giveaway

I found myself wanting to listen to these songs over and over which brought me peace as I thought about who God is and what he has done!  Some of the songs I knew and some I have never heard, but by listening to these songs repeatedly I'm learning the words and making them a part of my praise and prayer to my Lord.  I even hear my 2 year old song singing along.  This is truly a beautiful CD that you would love to have in your home as you bring yourself to adore our wonderful Savior.
