It Just Can't Be, Jessna is 3!!

Today my little girl turns 3!  I can't believe it.  I barely made it through year one with all the crying, then year two was all about moving and this year was all about moving and talking.  Oh, my!  Jessna is sure one of a kind.  I don't think I have ever met any child quite like her and I know lots of kids since I was a teacher for 12 years.  She has me running in all directions daily, but her cute smile usually brings me back to center.  Here are a few pictures of our year.

My dear Jessna,

When you came into my life I never dreamed you would be such a busy girl with a funny personality and so independent for one so young.  This year you proved to me that you are a girl of action.  You dance, jump, climb, bounce, tumble and do it over and over again every single day!! You also sing and try to play the piano.   In the fall, you began taking off your diaper and making a mess in your bed and other places.  I reluctantly started potty training you.  And then you started climbing in and OUT of your crib.  So in about a month's time you had a new bed and no diapers (only during the day).  And on top of that you stopped napping (only on occasion).  You could take off your clothes and put them on all by yourself!  And you often said, "I can do it myself!"  You asked "why and what" a lot and you got into everything!  You found things I didn't even know I owned.  But most of all you wanted snuggles, "Please snug me."  You made the silliest faces for sad, glad, sleepy, scared and surprised.  But what I loved most is that you became best friends with your brother.  Every single day you get up and play all day with your brother.  There is no other way I would have you, little girl!  You are my precious daughter full of love, laughter and wiggles.  We love you to pieces...to the moon and back.  I pray you will stand strong for Jesus some day and use all your energy to glorify Him.  Love, your mama

This little girl has turned my world upside down and inside out!  She is known as Little Miss Busy.  She is full of energy and loves to climb, jump, bounce and run.  She has increased her vocabulary to say "No, Read it, Up, Help" and much more.  She hates wearing bibs and she doesn't mind getting messy.
Jessna is one of a kind and we love her.  Can't wait to see what next year brings.

Jessna is 21 Months old!!

This little girl is now 21 months old!

She is my busy girl through and through. I can never sit down when she is awake.

She is so curious and gets into everything. She follows big brother around all the time, but she also will sit down and look at books or tear them (library books, of all things!).

 She wants to color and we have done a little of that. She is messy as can be and still puts anything into her mouth like purple crayons!

She is saying lots of words and has a really silly giggle.

 She can be picky about food and cry the entire meal time or gobble it all up.

She wants to put on her coat and shoes and go places.

She is not shy with strangers and she loves being picked up.

 She still takes 1 nap and sleeps through the night.

She loves her baths and can put her clothes in the laundry and put other things away when I ask her.

She can walk up and down the stairs (not crawl!).

She is independent and very different from her brother. I have my hands and heart full with these two crazy kids!

Jessna is 18 months today!

Welcome to the Adventures of Jessna!! Wow, this girl is everywhere all the time! She keeps me moving and grooving. Jessna has a passion for trying new things and going all out. She laughs a lot, cries a lot and loves to run around the house with her big brother. And if she can find a place to climb up or into, she's there. Jessna is also starting to talk a little bit more. She can say mama, kitty, baby, banana (nana), and uh-oh. She knows what kiss and hug are and she understands instructions like sit and come here. I'm excited to see how she is going to develop in the next several months. Here are some pictures of my little girl growing up!

Here's a quick peek of  Shrade at 18 months old.

Jessna is 15 months old!

Jessna is changing daily in her likes, dislikes, mobility and interests.  In the last 3 months she started to stand, take steps, climb stairs, climb ladders (yes!) and walk full length of rooms.  She never likes the same food two days in a row and she throws all her food and cups on the floor if she is done.  She loves fruit and discovered the raspberries bushes in our yard.  She still loves looking at books, but if mommy is close by she would rather be held.  She sleeps very well and has a great nap and nighttime sleeping schedule. She doesn't really say too many words, but "mama" is very clear.  Be sure to watch the video of daddy trying to get her to say "dada."  Good luck, honey!

She is my adventure girl and reminds me so much of my husband.  Nothing bothers her and she doesn't care about getting dirty.  Shrade still has a fit!  She will surely keep me on my toes!
