2021 Homemaker's Friend Daily Planner

 2021 Homemaker's Friend Daily Planner

The 2021 Homemaker's Friend Daily Planner is still available.  If you are still looking for a planner for the upcoming year, I encourage you to check this one out.  I've been using it for years and it's been my favorite.  I'm always finding new ways to utilize it.

My favorite section is the week by week planning area.  At the top there is space to write the tasks to be done and then there are spaces for each day with lines.  The day and date are clearly marked so it's easy to find.  I like that the day is divided into 2 sections so I make one for morning and one for afternoon evening.  There is also a small space to write out your menu plan.  It's simple, but it's so nice to have a whole week on one open page layout.

I am including a video I made this summer of the complete layout.  You can click HERE.

(The coupon code is no longer available)

I have been having fun starting to fill out my new planner.  And even though this year wasn't exactly how any of us planned doesn't mean we need to stop planning.  There are still birthdays, phone calls, playdates (in person or online), tasks to do, food to make, etc.

Also, when you buy the planner you get free meal planning templates.

The 2021 Homemaker's Friend Daily Planner is $15.99.  Be sure to use my link.  Thanks!

Let me know if you are using this planner too!

Homemaker's Friend Daily Planner BOGO Sale for 2019 and 2020!!

Several years ago I was floundering around with a planner that I had printed off week by week.  I wasn't able to keep up with it and eventually gave up.  Then I discovered this planner from Sue Hooley known as the Homemaker's Friend Daily Planner.

Here are the features I love about it:
*It's a convenient size.  I can slip it into my purse.
*The weekly task list helps me organize my to do list.
*I can record and see my menu plan for the whole week on the two page spread.
*I plan birthdays, cleaning projects, clothes I need, makeup brands, books to read and more.
*The tear out shopping lists are handy for recording my shopping needs and using for my grocery run.
*I keep a master list of shopping needs from my favorite stores.
*I can see a month at a glance.
*It's my brain and I LOVE it!

This planner has been such a positive impact in my life to be organized, productive and happy!

Recently I moved and this planner has helped me organize my new life schedule as my kids are now in school.  We've been having a very fun and busy summer and it's great to keep my running list of things that need to be done.  There are SO many family birthdays in the summer.  I also run a Podcast Club and do many book reviews, so this planner keeps me on task.

HOMEmakers's Challenge (31 Days to Clean) Week #6

Homemakers Challenge

I've been trying to figure out why I am always so cranky and I get easily frustrated when I look around my house. I don't know if there an official name, but I call it "clutter anxiety." Can you relate?  I feel like there are never ending piles and corners of needless stuff that make me cringe.  I don't know where this stuff comes from, but it's driving me crazy.  However, I know this is normal, but I'm trying to figure out a way so that is doesn't cause me so much anxiety.

Last weekend I had more hours to spend in the cleaning mode.  So I decided to get a handle on some of these areas.  I have a lot of books that I'm reading, devotional material, ideas for teaching, paper for taking notes of great ideas from the computer and gobs of recipes and cookbooks that I leave lying around so I can get to them when I need them.  The problem is, I don't need them ALL the time.  So I took everything and recycled what I didn't want and put everything in a box or basket.  Now I just need to find some places to put these that I can easily access.  Ah, that made me feel somewhat better.

I'm loving my cleaning accountability Facebook group that challenges me everyday to take 1 hour to clean 4 areas.  I also am following I Dream of Clean's 31 Days to make Cleaning a Habit.  I continue to read Sarah Mae's book, 31 Days to Clean because it inspires me in many areas to create a home that is healthy and loving as well as clean!

I feel like I'm getting closer to my goal which is to have normal cleaning routines and keep on top of  "clutter" areas.  This will give me time to do more things that I enjoy like reading leisurely, sewing, cooking, baking, playing with my kids and going out to do fun things with my family.  I do all these things, but to a minimal degree right now.

This is the last edition of the Homemaker's Challenge, but I heard there is a Fall Edition.  Anything like this keeps me motivated.

HOMEmaker's Challenge (31 Days to Clean) Week #5

Homemakers Challenge

I wish I could say that I'm doing the Mary and Martha tasks everyday, but I'm not.  In fact, some days I don't do anything.  But now that my back is better I have energy, motivation and goals.  My goals are to declutter.  I really can't clean until I've got space.  So I've done challenges every afternoon to declutter.  I also found this website where bloggers are doing 31 days of posts on different topics.  I chose a few that will help me in my quest.  Slowly, but surely I know I will get to approximately where I want to be!  :)

Here's the website with tons (about 650) of 31 Days to... posts:

The Nesting Place

Here are some I will be checking out:
*31 Days to Declutter
*31 Days to make Cleaning a Habit
*31 Days to a Cleaning Routine
* 31 Days to Get it Together

These are just some that don't have to do with cleaning:
*31 Days to Impress Your Kids
*31 Days to be the person you want your child to be
*31 Days to being a better mama
*31 Days of Play
*31 Days to a Happy Home
*31 Days of Play for Toddlers

Anyone else in the cleaning mode?  Are my posts giving you some ideas?  Let me know.

HOMEmaker's Challenge (31 Days to Clean) Week #4

Homemakers Challenge

I fell off the bandwagon this week.  My husband was home one day and the next day I hurt my back.  I was out for 2 days.  Yesterday I was feeling better so I decided to tackle some regular stuff.  I love accountability and I've been a part of this Facebook group: 31 Days-Mamas of Littles.  They have recurring "cleaning challenges" where someone is the host and says that it's time.  We pick 4 things do for 10 minutes each with a 10 minute break.  We get 4 tasks done in one hour.  It's amazing how fast I work and love to say what I accomplished with encouragement from the other girls.  I must admit that I haven't done too many of these challenges because they don't always coincide with my time frame, but I love it when I do it.  It makes me feel so much better than wasting my day and scrambling to clean up as my husband calls me that he's coming home.  Get connected to a group HERE.

HOMEmaker's Challenge (31 Days to Clean) Week #3

Homemakers Challenge

I usually save all of my cleaning and organizing for weekdays. Weekends are my down time and also things just don't stay clean.  I just have to live with some mess, although it's really hard!  I also have a good problem: my husband loves to do cooking projects in the kitchen.  Last week he picked 700 lbs of pears!  The other day he started his pear projects.  This makes for a very messy kitchen!  But we will have dried pears, pear juice, canned pears, pear sauce and pear fruit leather.  I can live with a messy kitchen for a few days!

So I'm changing my strategy because no matter how much I try to get the kitchen where I want it to be, it gets completely dismantled. So I will do low maintenance in that room for now.  However, every time I walk into my bedroom "sanctuary" I want to crawl through the roof.  It's a disaster.  So I'm going to focus on that room for awhile.  Whew, my perfection tendencies have me in a tizzy.  I know that if I get one room clean I can work on other areas.

HOMEmaker's Challenge (31 Days to Clean) Week #2

Homemakers Challenge

This week I started using The Six List from ListPlanIt.com.  What a difference it makes for me to list things that I need to get done.  I love making lists and checking things off, don't you?  If you are like me, maybe you should check out ListPlanIt.com.  They offer tons of great ways to get organized.

I was faithful to make my lists, but some days I couldn't get everything done.  But that's OK!  I did get most things done and I felt very accomplished. And it's amazing to look at my list and see all that I really did.

I was really motivated this week when I saw cleaning up clutter making a big difference in my spirit.  When I was a teacher I always cleaned the classroom and set everything out for the next day so that when I came in the morning it was all ready to go.  I hope to incorporate some of that in my own home.  Making lists keeps me accountable to myself and I love it!  Now, I'm inspired to do more to bless my home!

HOMEmaker's Challenge (31 Days to Clean) Week #1

Homemakers Challenge

I started this challenge in the middle the August, but got overwhelmed with the amount of work I needed to do in a day.  So, now that September has started I wanted to "start over."  Then I had my nieces and nephew come one day and my mother in law came overnight and I just haven't had the time to do the deep cleaning I desired until today.  So I'm picking up where I left off in August and continuing my work in the kitchen.  One thing I find very helpful in working to clean in my kitchen is to clean the countertops off of all the clutter.  This releases my mind to actually work on the inside of my cupboards.  Cleaning is psychological to me!  That's my mission statement- "When my house is clean- I smile!"  I smile anyway, but I really smile big when I walk into a room and it is CLEAN!  I know that I can bless my family by cleaning my home and that is my mission.  Some days I have to let things go, but I keep plugging on.
