Tropical Traditions Organic Herbal Breath Spray Review and Giveaway

Special Price! Organic Herbal Breath Spray - 1-oz

If you are like me, you want fresh breath.  I'm always trying to find a piece of gum or a tic tac to pop in my mouth, especially when I am out so I can give off fresh breath to those I come in contact with.  But what happens when I can't find that last stick of gum!  Hmm, well, a breath spray would be a great replacement.  So I recently found that Tropical Traditions has an Organic Herbal Breath Spray.

All ingredients are 100% organic with no sweeteners or preservatives.  The herbal ingredient extracts are: licorice, peppermint, and ginger, organic essential oil of spearmint, and organic flavor extracts of cinnamon and clove.  The dominant flavor is licorice and mint.  I do have to say that I'm not a huge fan of licorice, so after I used this a few times I didn't really taste the licorice, but rather a combo of ALL the flavors.  It was very strong, but after a few seconds it settled in my mouth and made me feel refreshed.  I also love that it's easy to carry around in my purse for those times when I can't find that gum!  Just a little spritz and I'm good to go!

Tropical Traditions Liquid Soap Review and Giveaway!!

I decided to try the liquid soap foam pump for my next review from Tropical Traditions.  I was given the three kinds of scents to test: lavender, tea tree and unscented.  The first thing I noticed was that there was only one ingredient besides the essential oils for the scented soaps.  Can you guess what it was?  Virgin Organic Coconut Oil, of course!  I was surprised and pleased.  I placed each pump in a different location.  As I pressed the pump a light foam came out and I lathered up and added water to make it soapy.  I really enjoyed the scented varieties.  What I liked best was there no mess and my hands felt smooth, fresh and clean!  I decided to try them also as sink cleaners and shower gel for shaving.  Perfect!  The reason it comes out as foam is that air is added to the liquid.  This makes the liquid last longer by using this method. And always, because there is only one ingredient, you are getting a superior product with no extra fillers!

Tropical Traditions Glass and Surface Cleaner Review and Giveaway

I clean, clean, clean.  If I see a mess or grubby marks or smudges, I like to get rid of them.  This Glass and Surface Cleaner is a great product because it not only cleans, but it has no ammonia, alcohol or harsh substances.  Most cleaners have an overpowering smell, but this is clean and fresh and virtually odorless.  I used it on my counters and windows.  I still have yet to clean my windows without streaks.  My windows must be extra dirty because I still had streaks even using this, but your experience might be different.    This product can be used on walls, floors, glass, countertops, stoves and you name it!  I love a cleaner that gets the job done on many surfaces.

Tropical Traditions Organic Brown Rice Syrup Review/Giveaway!!

I love getting products from Tropical Traditions to try in my home.  I have tried food products, cleaning products and bath and beauty products.  I was intrigued with the Organic Brown Rice Syrup.  I hate using corn syrup in anything. But this product is very similar (in form, but not ingredients) and can be used in place of corn syrup or even honey!  I made some granola bars and also the Chewy Crispy Rice Bites (see below).   I like using products like this that are good and healthy for you.  Use this product with no regret!

Organic Brown Rice Syrup - 16 oz.

  • Gluten Free
  • Certified Organic
  • Ideal sweetener for hypoallergenic diets
  • Easy to digest
  • Great source of sustainable energy
  • Non-distinct flavor
  • Complements a wide variety of foods
"Tropical Traditions Certified Organic Brown Rice Syrup is a natural sweetener produced by steeping whole brown rice with a special enzyme preparation derived from “koji.” This process transforms the steamed grain into a smooth flavored, pleasantly sweet syrup. It is made without the use of any cane or beet sugars (no cane juice crystals), corn syrups, or other refined sweeteners of any kind. Organic Brown Rice Syrup is an excellent sweetener for all baked goods, in the preparation of sauces or marinades, and for general cooking purposes."
Shrade put the balls on the pan
We made Chewy Crispy Rice Bites.

Yield: approximately 2 dozen small balls
Preparation Time: 5 minutes

1/2 cup almond butter (or other nut butter of choice or coconut cream concentrate)
1/3 cup brown rice syrup
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups brown rice cereal (I just used Rice Crispies)
1/4 cup shredded coconut

Mix the almond butter and brown rice syrup together in a medium saucepan. Stir and heat until melted and bubbly; approximately 2 minutes.

Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Add remaining ingredients and stir well.

Roll into small balls with oiled or wet hands to prevent sticking and chill in the refrigerator or freezer.

Eat!

Recipe courtesy Sarah Shilhavy

I love these two products that I used in this recipe:
1-Pint (16-oz) - Coconut Cream Concentrate

1-Gallon Pail - Shredded Coconut

Tropical Traditions Coconut Cream Concentrate Review/Giveaway

Mmmm, Tropical Traditions 1-Quart (32 oz) - Coconut Cream Concentrate!  Tastes good right out of the jar!  But first you need to get it soft and there is a great tutorial video for that.  Coconut Cream Concentrate is organic whole coconut meat.  There are NO additives (like water) and it's very creamy!  It is not an oil but a food although it does have coconut oil in it.  It can become hard in colder weather and needs to be warmed to liquify so it can be used.  "Coconut Cream Concentrate contains NO additives and NO preservatives at all: it is 100% natural coconut made from certified organic Philippine coconuts grown without pesticides or fertilizers."
Quick Chocolate Pudding
The favorite goodie I made was this Quick Chocolate Pudding. Was it ever yummy! I added marshmallows and nuts to make a rocky road pudding.  I really love the creamy smooth texture of the Coconut Cream Concentrate and the light coconut taste.  I also made Coconut Cream Hot Chocolate which had a great flavor!

This product is also good to add to smoothies, soups, drinks (as a creamer) and can be used in baking.  I made Gluten-Free Coconut Brownies and they turned out pretty good. I have never made anything gluten free before. I actually think that adding flour would have made these more fudgey which is how I like brownies.

There are many wonderful recipes for using Coconut Cream Concentrate.  Hmm, which one will I try next?  :)

Buy it: Right now 1-Quart (32 oz) - Coconut Cream Concentrate is $19.50.

Tropical Traditions Coconut Soap Review/Giveaway

I am always truly amazed with Tropical Traditions products.  There are so many uses for one product.  I chose to review the Coconut Unscented Soap.  The first time I took a shower I decided to try this soap as "shampoo."  I rubbed it in my hands and it made such a quick rich lather.  I scrubbed it on my hair and left it on for a few minutes.  I also used it for washing my body.  I enjoyed the foam and how easy it rinsed off my skin.  The smoothness after was refreshing!  I then rinsed my hair and it was so silky smooth.  When I got out of the shower my whole body felt clean and rejuvenated.  After my hair was dry, it was so soft and easy to manage.  I love this soap!  This would also make a great product to take on trips because you can use it for every aspect of showering and washing hands.  No need for lotions to be bagged up and put through security!

The natural ingredients are undeniable.  This bar is made from saponified organic virgin coconut oil.  That's it!

Buy it: Right now 1 Coconut Bar Soap is $4.50.  I can tell that it will last for awhile!  A little goes a long way.

When you place your order please use my ID # to get your FREE book: 6015262 in the "Referred by a Friend".  (Thank you!) Oxygen Bleach from Tropical Traditions Review/Giveaway

Recently I agreed to review Oxygen Bleach from Tropical Traditions.  I have never used a product like this before and was very curious to see how it worked.  I have a lot of clothes with some tough stains.  Because it is safe for all colors and most fabrics, I put it to the test.  This product is not fast acting since I had to soak my clothes overnight, but the results are amazing and worth it.  There are many other uses for this product as well: kitchen, bathroom, yard, household, camping and wood decks.  The best thing about this product is that it is chlorine free and has no harmful ingredients.  This is definitely a product I would keep on hand.

Buy it: Right now Oxygen Bleach is only $16.99 for 6 lbs.

When you place your order please use my ID # to get your FREE book: 6015262 in the "Referred by a Friend".  (Thank you!) Tropical Traditions Skin Exfoliator Review/Giveaway

Recently I tried Tropical Traditions Citrus Mint Skin Exfoliator.  WOW!  I absolutely love this product and how smooth my skin felt after using it.  First, I tried it on my hands because they get so dry and it soothed away all the dryness and rough spots.  I also used it in the shower on my whole body.  ZING!  The feeling of awakening in my senses was partly because of the fragrance, but also just the way that after washing off the product my skin just was full of energy.  (Caution: Be careful after using in the shower since the oils can cause the tub to be slippery.)

I had no reservations in using this product on my skin because it is 100% natural with NO alcohols, artificial fragrances or petroleum products.  For the scented products, only the finest quality essential oils are used.  All ingredients are organic and exfoliating smooths the skin, unclogs pores and helps reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles.  How's that for a wonderful refreshing product?

Exfoliating your skin at least once a week is what I would recommend I would highly suggest using the Skin Exfoliators from Tropical Traditions!

Buy it: Right now this 4 FL. oz jar of Skin Exfoliator (lavender, citrus mint or unscented) is only $11.99.

When you place your order please use my ID # to get your FREE book: 6015262 in the "Referred by a Friend".  (Thank you!) Tropical Traditions Dish Liquid Review/Giveaway

I was so excited to receive the Dish Liquid from Tropical Traditions to review this month.  I use dish liquid EVERY time I turn on the kitchen sink.  I like to wash a lot of dishes by hand that do not go into the dishwasher and things that I use often that need a quick cleaning.

The Household Traditions Dish Liquid from Tropical Traditions is free of fragrances, dyes, petroleum solvents and respiratory/skin irritants.  This product is coconut based and is safe for dishes and skin.  I found that the smallest amount of liquid produces more than enough suds to get the job done.  Food residue came off easily and my hands felt smooth after each use.  I also like that this one gallon container will last a long time!

Buy it: Right now this one gallon container of Household Traditions Dish Liquid is only $29.50.

When you place your order please use my ID # to get your FREE book: 6015262 in the "Referred by a Friend".  (Thank you!) Tropical Traditions Raw Honey Review/Giveaway!!

Recently I was able to review the Tropical Traditions Organic Canadian Raw Honey.  Here are a few interesting facts:

*Comes from the frontier areas on Canada and harvested only during a 6 week period of the summer
*Unprocessed- only warmed enough to flow
*Wild
*Organic
*Available exclusively only through Tropical Traditions

You can read more at Tropical Traditions Organic Canadian Raw Honey.

I was amazed at the creamy texture.  I'm so used to honey being ooey, gooey, sticky and messy.  This was solidified, but easy to scoop.  It spread easily on breads and muffins.  It can also be used in many yummy recipes: Gluten Free Strawberry Coconut Muffins, Rise and Shine Breakfast Smoothie, and Homemade Coconut Granola Bars.  It is very sweet so not alot is needed for taste in these recipes.  I would choose this honey over any regular honey that I would normally use!

Buy it: A 17.6 oz jar of Tropical Traditions Canadian Raw Honey is usually $17.50, but is only $10.99 right now.  Get your taste today!  Or better yet, win it, see below!

Tropical Traditions Antioxidant Natural Greens Review and Giveaway!!

I was recently able to review the Antioxidant Natural Greens from Tropical Traditions.  I decided to try this version to see if I would like it better than what I had to drink in high school.  I remember that I went to the doctor once and they made me drink something green, it tasted worse than  grass.  I could barely swallow it.  It was terrible.  I was excited to see that Tropical Traditions makes a similar product, but with flavors.  I chose the berry flavor without licorice.  I was in for a treat.  Yes, it still looks like the green stuff I drank in high school, but with a much better taste.  In fact, if I didn't see what color it was, I would think it was a red berry punch.  Not only that, this drink is packed with vitamins and minerals.  Here are a few facts from Tropical Traditions:

  • Antioxidant Natural Greens supports nutrition, digestion, circulation & immunity.*
  • Antioxidant Natural Greens contains 2600mg Organic Flax & Organic Flax Lignans per serving, rich in ALA Omega 3
  • Antioxidant Natural Greens provides dark green plants, herbs, spices, natural food concentrates, and nutritious fruits and vegetables to help meet your daily requirements.
  • Antioxidant Natural Greens supplies a rich blend of totally natural vitamins, minerals, plant enzymes, antioxidants, phytonutrients and symbiotic intestinal flora for optimal energy metabolism, digestion, detoxification, and immune enhancement.*
Be sure to look on Tropical Traditions website for more benefits of this wonderful product.   This is a great drink to supplement for your daily 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables.  Would you like to try it?  See below for giveaway details.

Buy it: A 13.7 oz canister of Tropical Traditions Antioxidant Natural Greens is usually $44, but right now is only $38.99.  You can choose mint or berry flavor and with or without licorice.

Tropical Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter Review and Giveaway!!

I recently chose to review Tropical Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter and I'm so glad I did!

Here is some info from Tropical Traditions:
*Made from organic peanuts and organic coconut
*The peanuts are 100% organic Valencia peanuts that free from aflatoxins.
*The dried coconut is certified organic coconut meat that contains no additives or preservatives, and is not sweetened.
*Together, these premium organic roasted peanuts and the premium organic dried coconut are ground together to make a delicious and nutritious spread!

I was so thrilled to see that this peanut butter has only 2 ingredients that are organic.  I love peanut butter and I love coconut, but I was surprised at the sweet subtle taste this spread made.  I decided to try a few recipes  to test out this product.
Coconut Peanut Butter Hot Cocoa
4 - 5 servings
Preparation Time: 3 minutes
Combine dry ingredients in a medium saucepan and whisk in water over medium heat. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly. Boil for 2 minutes. Whisk in Coconut Peanut Butter.
Add milk and whisk and heat until hot, but do not boil. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla extract. Serve topping with whipped cream.
*If using honey, use less then you would for sugar. Brown sugar may be used.
Recipe courtesy Sarah Shilhavy
This recipe came from the Tropical Traditions free recipes website.

I liked this new twist on hot cocoa!

Heavenly Homemakers Granola
Homemade Chewy Granola Bars
1/2 cup peanut butter or sunbutter (I used Coconut Peanut Butter)
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup coconut oil (or another oil of your choice)
1 cup oats
1 cup total of any combination of:  sesame seeds, coconut flakes, sunflower seeds, dried fruit, mini chocolate chips
In a medium sized saucepan, melt together peanut butter, honey and coconut oil.
Remove from heat and add one cup of oats.  Choose your favorite combination of coconut flakes, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, dried fruit and mini chocolate chips, to equal a total of ONE CUP.  (I just got out my one cup measuring cup and poured in the ingredients until the cup was full.)  Pour in and stir well.
Stir well, then spread mixture into a 8×8 or 9×4 pan.
Chill for two hours, then cut into bars.
Wrap in plastic wrap for a quick grab and go snack!

I also put some coconut peanut butter in my son's oatmeal and he said, "MMMMMM!"  Well, that about says it all!

Buy it: A 16 oz. jar of Tropical Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter is $9.99 and a 26 oz. jar is $15.45.
