I love finding unique, yet simple ways to teach my child necessary concepts. The c3pla Sensory Math Teaching System is just such a resource.
The c3pla Sensory Math Teaching System was created by Domenico Marcario, M.S., a retired math teacher and loving grandfather, to answer those questions. This system utilizes the natural way children learn to teach them math skills. The Game Pack is presented in 3 stages, with a total of 20 steps and 2 games in each step covering the math skills of quantity, numeration, and operations.
I found the activities easy and the materials common and accessible in the home. These games are great for parents to play with their kids and each game builds upon the one before. All of the games are simple, yet each step adds more challenge. By the time your child has gone through this pack they will have gained some abstract and concrete math skills. Even as I was reading through them I wished that I had been taught math in this way. This makes math fun, interesting and exciting. Your child will not even know they are learning. I highly recommend this system for you to do with your children.
