Life Without Limits Book Review/Giveaway

He has no arms and no legs, yet he has a dynamic personality and can golf, surf, swim and play many sports.  Who is he?  Nick Vujicic!  His book, Life Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life, is part autobiographical and part inspirational.  Nick was born in Australia and overcame many insecurities.  He graduated from college with a degree in financial planning and accounting.  He now speaks all over the world through his ministry Life Without Limbs offering inspiration and hope to hurting people.  Nick has a personal relationship with God and his book speaks about many ways to overcome your "disabilities" whether they be physical, emotional or psychological.  As someone who felt there was no purpose to his life, he learned that no matter what, God has gifted each person in special and unique ways.

I was very interested to read this book as I had seen Nick on a few You Tube videos.  He definitely has charisma and really made me look beyond myself.  He is someone who really struggled, but found ways to overcome them and live a full life.  I was really amazed at all he could do.  He even starred in a short film called Butterfly Circus that you can find on You Tube.  I highly recommend Life Without Limbs by Nick Vujicic for every person.  He offers great suggestions and ways to inspire your life and live it to the fullest for God's glory.

Booking It 2011: January

Yippee!  I'm so excited that Jessica is making a concerted effort for this wonderful online book club.  It's free, fun and flexible!  Read this POST and see if you want to join too!  There's also a downloadable handbook for reference.

Well, I was very busy reading books for review last year and even though I love reading, I think I read too many books.  That's not good for a mom of a toddler and a house to take care of.  So I've decided to pace myself this year and be more purposeful in reading as well as sneaking in books for pure pleasure.  I will be reading some of Jessica's assigned books, review books and others that I come across. I'm also going to read through the New Testament using the Our Daily Bread guide.  All of that should keep me busy, but not overwhelmed! My goal is to read new and classics as well as anything related to being a mom and taking care of the house.  I look forward to this fun year of reading.  I will be looking for recommendations from many of you.

52 Weeks of organizing 2011 with Organinzing Junkie

I'm so excited that Laura at Organizing Junkie is starting this series.  I need support and encouragement as I begin this big project.  I already started my organizing, but this is a great way to have accountability and fun to see what others will be doing to get ideas on what else I can clean.

Today’s questions:

1.  Do you have your list written? (if you missed it, you can find the pdf here)
I have made a list of 5 areas for the month of January and I have 4 more that I thought of for February.
2.  What is the first thing on it that you hope to accomplish this week?
My first thing I hope to accomplish is make a 5 day plan to work 30 min a day in the area where I will be cleaning.
3.  How are you going to make it happen?
I'm going to write a list of what I want to have happen by the end of the 5 days of cleaning and what I want it to look like.  My goal is to take before and after pictures to show my results!

What about you?  Do you want to join too?

Unexpected Love by Andrea Boeshaar Book Review/Giveaway

Lorenna Fields is competent nurse, loving, caring, kind and prone to emotional attachment to her patients.  There was a particular patient who she nursed who was not only blind, but had amnesia.  As a single woman, she felt captivated by this handsome man and very glad he could not see her very ugly birthmark.  Soon the patient regains his memory and turns out to be a missing sailor.  Renna and the captain begin to have feelings for each other, but the captain also begins to regain his eyesight.  He keeps the pretense that he is blind so Renna will feel comfortable with him and also as a precaution to find out who tampered with his ship that caused his accident.  Renna feels that no man will ever love her because of her birthmark and especially not a wealthy and handsome captain.  Will Renna find her true soul mate in Unexpected Love by Andrea Boeshaar?

I love old fashioned love stories and this is one of them.  Even though Renna is insecure about her appearance, she is very intellectual and is very bold to stand up for what she believes in.  The love story is sweet and evenly paced and the mystery is somewhat predictable, but blends well with the plot.  This was a great story in which to get lost and I would love to read more by Andrea Boeshaar.

Tropical Traditions Raw Honey Review/Giveaway!!

Recently I was able to review the Tropical Traditions Organic Canadian Raw Honey.  Here are a few interesting facts:

*Comes from the frontier areas on Canada and harvested only during a 6 week period of the summer
*Unprocessed- only warmed enough to flow
*Wild
*Organic
*Available exclusively only through Tropical Traditions

You can read more at Tropical Traditions Organic Canadian Raw Honey.

I was amazed at the creamy texture.  I'm so used to honey being ooey, gooey, sticky and messy.  This was solidified, but easy to scoop.  It spread easily on breads and muffins.  It can also be used in many yummy recipes: Gluten Free Strawberry Coconut Muffins, Rise and Shine Breakfast Smoothie, and Homemade Coconut Granola Bars.  It is very sweet so not alot is needed for taste in these recipes.  I would choose this honey over any regular honey that I would normally use!

Buy it: A 17.6 oz jar of Tropical Traditions Canadian Raw Honey is usually $17.50, but is only $10.99 right now.  Get your taste today!  Or better yet, win it, see below!

When you place your order please use my ID # to get your FREE book: 6015262 in the "Referred by a Friend".  (Thank you!)
